The notable feature of the Lime Whip is that is has a 3-tick attack speed, compared to the 4-tick attack speed of any other whip. This makes the Lime Whip the best-in-slot weapon for melee until the Scythe of Vitur. The Lime also has the chance to poison while in PvP or PvM combat. It is obtainable from Wilderness Vaults, the Ganodermic Beast, Xamphur, the Avatar of Creation, cows (1 in 1 million), and ::store.

The Lava Whip has a chance for the Dragonfire Shield special attack to occur in PvP or PvM combat. It is obtainable from the Kalphite Queen or the Avatar of Creation.

The Death Cape is the best-in-slot cape item until you achieve the Tier 3 Completionist Cape for melee. Although it has slightly worse stats than the infernal cape, it has a 1/100 chance to deal 150 damage in PvM combat using melee for each hitsplat!
