Template:Coins invokes function amount in Module:Coins using Lua.

The Coins template shows the amount of coins with a preview image. It is designed for use in wikitables, as opposed to {{NoCoins}}, which is used in the body text of articles.

The amount is formatted with a comma (if the value is greater than 1,000), and with the following colors:

  • Red - negative numbers
  • Blue - positive numbers
  • Green - if the number is zero

Usage and examples

The following are some examples:

{{Coins|-9000.50}}

Produces the following result: −9,000.50

{{Coins|2013.0214}}

Produces the following result: 2,013.02

{{Coins|0}}

Produces the following result: 0

{{Coins|123.456 round 1}}

Produces the following result: 123.50
